ONIONSKIN TOOL IN ANIMATION SHOP

Using The Onionskin Tool in Animation Shop

This is an awesome Tool for those who animate alot, especially with moving arms, legs & etc.

***Materials here-
https://app.box.com/s/e6ufn6n0di25czfqhc7b98r9dapdt1f7

Step 1-
Open the tag and the snail image in Animation Shop
Activate the tag, Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste after current frame-three more times.
You should now have 4 frames of the tag.

Step 2-
Activate the snail tag
You can resize it now if you choose to-Edit/Resize Animation (75% or your preferred choice)

Step 3-
Select the first frame (click on your arrow button
to clear previous steps)
Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selected Frame
Place the snail to the far left of the tag

Below is a screenshot of the Onionskin Tool-I have an older version of Animation Shop,
so your Onionskin icon may look different than mine. If you hover over the Tools with
your curser, it names each one. Mine says "Toggle Onionskin Preview"

Step 4-
Now click on your Onionskin Tool (or Alt + 0)
and Select the 2nd frame, there you will see a faint shadow of where you placed the snail in the first frame. See below-

Step 5-
Edit/Paste/Into Selected Frame.
Move the snail to the right of the snail placement shadow image of the first frame.(or your preferred postion, depending on what you're animating)

Step 6-
Select the 3rd frame,
Edit/Paste/Into Selected Frame.
Move the snail  to the right of side of the shadow of the 2nd frame snail image.

Step 7- Select the 4th frame,
Edit/Paste/Into Selected Frame.
Move the snail  to the right of side of the frame beside the shadow of the 3rd frame snail image.

Step 8-
View/Animation, You'll see the snail is traveling across your tag.
The snail is going too fast across the tag. Close this out.
Go back to your 3 Frames image
Edit/Select All
Animation/Frame Properties
Change the number to your preferred speed of the snail.
I set mine at 75

Step 9-
View/Animation, if your happy with the speed of the snail, "Save As .gif

If your not happy with the speed of the snail repeat Animation/Frame Properties and re-adjust the number more to your liking..

BLOG ISSUES

Please bear with me. My Blog seems to be doing it's own thing.
Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. In the meantime I'm still working on revamping some older Tuts.
